Jared Barrera is a results-driven financial executive and strategic leader with over two decades of experience in finance, accounting, and business operations across the banking and healthcare industries. Most recently, Jared served as Chief Financial Officer of Kindly MD, Inc./Nakamoto Holdings (Ticker: NAKA—previously known as KDLY), a publicly traded healthcare and healthcare data company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, that merged with Nakamoto Holdings, Inc., a strategic bitcoin holdings company. Here, he played a pivotal role in financial planning, corporate growth, and operational excellence as the company navigated a successful merger, consolidated financials across multiple entities, and assisted in directing a $700M private investment in public equity (PIPE).

At Kindly MD/Nakamoto, Jared’s work encompassed revenue optimization, GAAP accounting, budgeting and forecasting, financial modeling, and business intelligence—skills he refined over years of leadership roles, including Director of Finance at Physician Group of Utah and Senior Manager of Revenue Cycle and Business Intelligence at Granger Medical Clinic, all while operating a successful financial consulting business.

Jared holds both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis in accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Utah Valley University, grounding his career in deep technical expertise and a commitment to measurable results.

Personally, Jared was born in Oregon but spent most of his earlier life growing up in San Diego, California. After High School, he travelled to Melbourne, Australia, where he lived for a couple of years and then returned to San Diego to marry his wife, where they moved to Lindon, Utah, and have lived since for over 20 years as a local resident. Jared enjoys spending time playing tennis with his daughter, coaching his boys’ basketball team, reading, and relaxing with his family.
